Sustainable engineering is the process of using resources in a way that does not compromise the environment or deplete the materials for future generations. Some of the persistent campaigns are; renewable energy, reduce, reuse and recycle.

The concept of managing resources in the best way possible is not new, although since the industrial revolution, ecological footprints and impacts on the environment are no longer limited. Nevertheless, the current state of science, technology and information is capable of bringing sustainability to the way it has always been present in history; can be initiated on any scale.
